Founded in 2011 by Marissa Schwoch, Food Microbiology Solutions Ltd is an established consultancy Business providing food safety and microbiology consultancy services to the food industry. We have a proven track record of providing a highly professional service to our many clients, which include large international corporations, small family run businesses and multi-site catering organisations. We are based in West Yorkshire and provide support to local food businesses, but also travel UK wide.

Marissa Schwoch​​​​​​​

After gaining a 2:1 degree in Microbiology from the University of Surrey, Marissa joined the product safety team at Sainsburys, and later moved to Arla Foods where she held a number of Technical roles including Group Food Safety Manager. With a keen interest in cheese, Marissa plays an active role on the Technical Committee for the Specialist Cheesemakers Association (SCA).  This includes advising upon technical matters, mentoring cheesemakers, and leading the team to deliver training courses for enforcement officers for the Food Standards Agency and Food Standards Scotland.

Marissa works hard to deliver high standards of work.  She has good interpersonal skills, with a friendly but professional manner which enables her to communicate effectively with everyone, from shop-floor and kitchen staff through to Senior Management.

Charlotte Davison

A Quality Assistant for Food Microbiology Solutions Ltd, providing daily business and technical support.

Charlotte’s role includes organising training courses, business administration and helping clients.

Previously, Charlotte has worked for Johnson and Johnson for 11 years as a Marketing Assistant in their busy EMEA Orthopaedic Marketing department.

Charlotte holds a BA Hons Business Administration Degree from the University of Portsmouth.
