Auditing & Mentoring
Marissa is a qualified Lead Assessor, IFST registered auditor and mentor with over almost two decades of auditing experience. Marissa has a particular interest in dairy and has extensive knowledge and experience of cheese manufacturing. She provides specialist auditing in this field, as well as training new cheese auditors! A good understanding of French helps when auditing dairies abroad. Marissa also has experience auditing and mentoring Businesses manufacturing ready-to-eat high risk foods, bakery and ambient stable grocery products.
Marissa has been auditing for SALSA since 2011. She is one of only five SALSA auditors that is able to audit against the SALSA plus SCA standard for Cheesemakers.
Marissa is described as a professional auditor with sound judgement, and a reputation of being thorough and fair. We understand that an audit can be a daunting process for some Food Businesses, so we strive to make the whole process, from booking the audit through to corrective action review, as smooth as possible.
